under the leadership of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri
Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, has been very favourable
and one should encash this situation in meeting the challenge.
He stressed upon the need to rationalize VAT @ 4%
on all types of footwear. At present it is differential in
states and in rates too. How Delhi State can exempt VAT up
to Rs 300/- of footwear when other states including Bengal
footwear trade has to pay VAT at every price.
