While our country has transformed from a “developing country” into “transforming country” the scope of development in the Footwear Component Industry has also to be re-looked in the new environment.

For the rapidly changing domestic footwear industry and to meet the 1.2 billion export target, the Footwear Component Industry has to integrate itself under "IFCOMA" and modernize the technology and carryout the tasks for attaining progressive growth and match the manufacturing developments and advancement.

The technological advancement needed to attain high quality and high quantity manufacturing capacities, has become the present trend in lowering the cost through volumes.

Taking stock of the present day scenario, we at IFCOMA have to re-look and charter our industry into Component Parks and identify the locations and ascertain the quantum of FDI needed to bring about capital intensive clusters on role model of Italy and Brazilian advancement.

One of the Key steps towards this goal is to visit Italy and Brazil in near future to study the most optimum models of rehabilitations, the latest technology and tests for certification of components and invite their industry for setting up Joint Ventures.

Your association is planning to take a delegation of at least 10 manufacturers representing the important Component products & accessories to visit the component industries of Italy and Brazil. The focus shall be on the technological advancements and on achieving the maximum efficiency in production. This shall be a preliminary study tour which can further realize in having joint ventures. Our MOU with ASSINTECAL shall provide a constructive platform to achieve the aspects.

Members interested in joining the delegations may inform the IFCOMA office of the same urgently. Members should forward their details of the present activity, the authorized person for this trip and their aspiration from this tour ( For seeking a joint venture, technological upgradation etc. etc.)

All expenses shall have to be borne by the members themselves and IFCOMA shall assist in all the meetings. We are already having discussions with ASSINTECAL in this matter and shall also approach the Italians footwear associations shortly.
