The IFCOMA 17th Agra BSM, 2003 held on 24th & 25th August 2003 at Hotel Holiday Inn ended with very high projection of footwear production in the coming years for domestic and export market. It was assessed that with the growing mechanisation of units and the concept to upgrade the footwear quality with ISO certifications, Agra is expected to become the leading production centre of the country to meet all types footwear requirements and for all the segments.

It is expected to enter the zone to produce medium to higher quality and price range footwear in the next 3-5 years. The event was successful and very informative with 52 companies from all over India displayed their Products / Components. and visited by more than 1200 persons with majority being the new comers from the organised and unorganised sectors.
